About the project
As part of its commitment to humanizing the digital banking universe, ebankIT plays an active role in delivering insightful and reliable editorial content that caters to all stakeholders.
The Banking Agenda Report was created to support CIOs and CTOs as they navigate the complex journey of digital transformation. The main challenge was to develop a visual language that effectively conveys the strategic thinking behind the report’s content.
Playbooks, Diagrams & Design Logic
Given the strategic nature of the report and its target audience, the visual design was inspired by playbooks and technical diagrams, reinforcing its practical and actionable tone. References were taken from sports tactics, software architecture, and roadmap visuals to create a visual language that resonates with the familiar imagery found in the daily world of CIOs and CTOs.
This involved using simple graphic shapes—such as rectangles, diamonds, and circles, commonly found in software diagrams—to highlight key terms that resonate with the vocabulary of CIOs and CTOs. These elements were tied to the broader themes of strategic journeys and end results. By combining them, we developed “making sense out of chaos” compositions that visually reinforce the report’s content.
Designing for Reach and Resonance
Additionally, a dedicated website page and social media assets were created to maximize reach and impact. These materials emphasized the strategic and results-driven nature of the content by giving prominence to numbers—displayed at a large scale—and by combining key terms with the oversized graphic shapes to enhance visual impact.
The Value
As a core component of ebankIT’s thought leadership strategy, this report drove engagement throughout a 12-month campaign, generating 168 downloads and 5 702 website visits. It positioned ebankIT as a trusted partner for banking technology teams, fostering valuable industry discussions and connections.
