About the project
To stay relevant, a website needs a steady flow of fresh, valuable content. As part of its commitment to bringing empathy and humanity to fintech, ebankIT regularly publishes editorial reports exploring the trends shaping the industry.
Each year, the Digital Banking Trends & Predictions report marks the beginning of the year as the first major marketing content campaign. The main challenge was crafting a report that seamlessly aligned with the new brand guidelines while still allowing room for innovation.
Designing a Standout Fintech Report
Since the report focuses on trends and the future of the fintech industry, it allows for a more experimental approach, breaking away from the primarily color-blocked aesthetic of ebankIT’s day-to-day communication. Designed to be the most visually engaging content of the year, the report balances creativity with clarity, ensuring it remains both highly informative and relevant.
This was addressed by defining the report cover first. The chosen image features a liquified glass effect, evoking the look of a clairvoyant’s crystal ball. Its dynamic shape was balanced throughout the report’s visuals with geometric masks, a signature element of ebankIT’s brand communication.
The dark purple tones of the image seamlessly complemented ebankIT’s primary brand colors, while the green accent—reserved for more specific contexts—added contrast. The report’s photographic imagery, aligned with the “Humanizing Digital Banking” motto, prominently features people using devices. This was complemented by graphics that introduce a sense of magic, blurring the lines between the real and virtual worlds.
In motion: design beyond the report
Additionally, a dedicated website page and a set of social media assets were created to maximize reach and impact. The liquified look of the report cover was further reinforced through animation, bringing it to life across platforms. Subtle motion effects were also used to highlight key elements of the posts without overpowering the information.
The Value
As a key element in ebankIT’s marketing strategy, this report drove significant engagement over a 14-month campaign, generating 730 downloads and attracting 4 443 website visits. It strengthened ebankIT’s position as a thought leader, sparking valuable industry conversations and creating new business opportunities.
